The Miracle League is proud to announce a new Summer Fun Series of programs designed for children ages 7-18 who have intellectual, developmental and physical disabilities. All events will be held at various locations throughout the City of Hartford. Beginning on Saturday July 10th there will be 4 weeks filled with educational, fun and healthy fun on consecutive Saturday afternoons. The program will end with a day at Dunkin’ Donuts Park for a Hartford Yard Goats game on Sunday July 22nd. All programs are free but you must register in advance. You may register for one or more of the 5 events. Space is limited for each weeks program, so register early.
Saturday July 10 1-4pm STEM Day at the CT Science Center
Join us to meet some animals you’ve likely never seen before, explore the Dinosaur Exhibit and catch a movie
Saturday July 17 1-4pm Everybody Dance Now
Come learn some new dance moves and show off some of your own as we are joined by a dance teacher from the Ballet Theatre Company. All instruction will be adapted for children with any type of disability. The program will take place at the Oak Hill Adaptive Sports & Fitness Center 33 Coventry St. Hartford.
Saturday July 24 1-4pm Sports of All Sorts
Head over to the Oak Hill Adaptive Sports & Fitness Center at 33 Coventry St for an afternoon filled with adaptive sports and fun.
Saturday July 31 1-4pm Everyone is an Artist
Bring you talents with you for an afternoon filled with Arts & Craft projects. All projects will be adapted for children with special needs. Site TBD
Sunday August 22 12:30pm Take Me Out to the Ballgame
Enjoy an afternoon at the ball park in the Dunkin’ Dugout for a Yard Goats game against the New Hampshire Fisher Cats. Meet Chompers and Chew Chew and enjoy some other surprises.
You may register for one or more of the programs. You must register for each program that you would like your child to attend.
